What A Whirl

Last week at this time I was in cloudy Los Angeles. It was a great trip with lost of shopping. The Viceroy was a spectacular hotel.  I loved the way they decorated everything with kelly green, white leather, mirrors chandeliers, and china plates.

And of course... Blue Skies and Sunshine from my hotel window the day we had to leave. Overall it was a great time though. We had the most fantastic Sushi dinner at Katsuya in Brentwood. YUM! I will be recreating their strawberry martini all summer long.

It's Been a While.

I have missed the Blogging world the last few weeks. Things have been interesting for me at work and I have been a bit off line.  So much has been happening.  A friend from High School went missing after a boating accident - It is So sad and it makes me think of what I would do if anything ever happened to Rick.  His name was Tom and he married his HS sweet heart Katie they had 2 kids a 2 year old and 2 month old. I can't stop thinking how sad the whole thing is. I know God is watching over the whole family and every one who is close to him but it is So sad.  I pray I will never be with out Rick.  He is my world.

Sorry I know this is a sad note.  But on a brighter side Spring is here and Minneapolis has felt more and more like summer.  I am hoping to go for a Bike Ride this weekend. Hopefully it won't rain.  Monday I fly to LA for a quick shopping trip.  It is one perk I truly enjoy about my job. I have never been there and it will be exciting to explore the sunny beach city!  I'm staying at the Viceroy I hope my room looks this nice!

Oooh and I finished my flower girl dress I promise to post pictures soon! It turned out so lovely.

I WANT MY HAIR TO LOOK LIKE THIS!!!

I just love the soft waves and the body.. It looks so laid back and effortless yet glamourous... How do I get my hair to look like this every day with little to no work?  Please tell me....

Lady and Beer...

So the other night I was helping Rick with his final project for his typography class. I did VERY little. Basically I helped him draw the bottle and the glass. Knowing full well he could do it. I just thought I would help a little and show him my mad Illustrator PEN tool skills. Any ways here are the AMAZING beer labels he designed for his home made beer!

Lastly before heading to bed we started to talk about dogs and puppies... So we both know some day we wanted to get a dog.  We both come from dog families. I never thought I would have to convince him!  He wants to wait a while longer. But we don't really do that many things that should stop us from having a dog. He is over OBSESSED with the idea of a bulldog and I wouldn't mind one except that they are EXPENSIVE and Needy. 

So I thought maybe we should start with adopting... Which is when we found "LADY".  She is a King Charles Spaniel mix... If you know anything about me you would know these are my 2 favorite breed.  Just look at how beautiful she is.  I think we need her don't you!!

She is 4 year old and already trained which would be a good step for 2 busy people that don't have a ton of time to train a puppy. Plus she is not expensive at all. I think I must convince Rick that we need her. Plus we will be married for EVER and our next dog can be a puppy and a bulldog and we will hopefully have more time and money then.

So after a yummy lunch at Cosi with Nicole we decide we needed something sweet. I read about Coco & Fig on Metro Magazine. Realizing that they were located in the Gavidea Commons. We decided to walk there and get our buy one get one FREE CUPCAKE!

I would recomend the Black Velvet which has delishishly smooth cream cheese frosting.

The vanilla vanilla one above was a bit too buttery for me.

But  either way I would recomend the walk to get one!

The INCREDIBLE ARTSY EGG!

So I was perusing around my favorite BLOG sites and came across the most amazing idea for Easter eggs.  Every year growing up we would die eggs the old fashion way and eat my uncle's homw made pizza.

It has been a few years since I have had the Fun of enjoying this tradition.

However I am heading back to my roots this year for Easter and my neice and nephew should be fun

 to start the tradition up again with. 

Lucky for them Auntie Libby (my new name since becoming an aunt)..

is Crafty and likes to try new methods. 

One of which I found and am CRAZY to try!
