Boots....SNOW BOOTS...

All I can think of is warm furry boots! I have a nice black tall pair but I would love a short pair to throw on with jeans...The moccosin boots look so cute and warm. Maybe in brown.
Aren't the above boots just perfect.. I threw in a tall pair because I like them too!
They would be perfect to shovel in or hike in.

My Personal Fall 2010 Favorites

I recently searched through WGSN at the early Fall 2010 collections.
I have 2 favorites! My first is Zac Posen - His use of colors and bold but elegant details are exquisite. I wish I had a party to attend so I could wear the full length gown!

Bacon Cookies... Really?

I am not sure I am sold on the idea... Especially since My dad bought Rick chocolate covered bacon to our wedding and he was not raving over it. I found these lovely pics and the recipe here. I have not decided if I will try this recipe yet or not.

A Bunch O Pretty Things

First off how can you not LOVE this wooden Sewing Machine. I found it here. I can just see a little girl playing with it. Maybe once My neice get's older or once I have children.

I have a few freinds from work that I play kickball with every summer and they absolutly LOVE to knit... they actually knit socks very similar to the ones above. I like how warm and yet colorfully creative they are. The would be perfect with some denim and a nice sweater.

This might be a new bag to drool over. I honestly can't even say how much it retails for because it is more than selling my whole left leg! But I just love how they created the pretty rosettes with the soft blush leather! Someday I will own an expensive bag and take amazing care of it and hand it down to my daughter when she is 25!

I just can't get enough bows!!! EVER! Oh and Belts for that matter!

I saw these and thought.. I can do that.. They are simple fabric pom's. I thought what a great idea for Kelly's baby shower this summer?! I will save this idea.
Well tonight I am headed home to sew costumes for the church play and
make a delish dish for dinner!

Tree Stand

Rick and I bought our first Christmas Tree on Sunday. It has been quite the process.
Our free tree stand we found at a rummage sale ended up being more work than we thought. Rick had to create a wooden stand for the tree stand to be attached to to make it more sturdy! He looks so proud of his creation!
OH I have to upload pictures of our finished decorating after we hang our
ornaments tonight. I realize I don't always post my own original pictures...
Which I would like to start doing. I just don't always pull out the large
fancy camera. Sometimes the IPhone is just quicker.

Stockings to buy or make?

So We have always celebrated St. Nick on December 5th...
Mom would fill our stockings with sweets and fruit with an extra small gift...
Usually socks or as we got older a C.D.
I still want to keep this tradition going in my new famiy
but we don't have stocking yet.
I just love the ones pictures above.
Should I buy them this year with the holiday fast aproaching?
I always wanted to make special ones.
I guess I can always make us new ones once we start a family.
Do you celebrate St. Nick?

Procrastinating a new hobby?

I have about half of my wedding Thank You's complete.
The other half I continue to put on the to do list day and day again
I just can't get them finished. Why?

I wish I could just shout Thank you and it would be done.
I had a deadline for Thanksgiving but I obviously didn't
make the cut. Maybe I should turn all electronics off.

Whats a Career...

I have been thinking alot about my career and life goals lately.
My currnet job designing for 3 categories at Target is causing me
to search for new opportunities to grow my skills.
It gets hard thinking about what I want to do when there are so
many peramaters... Can't I just keep my salery and make up my
own job? If I could I would design Dresses ALL DAY!
Speaking of Dresses, the one pictured above was posted on
Design MOM... It is one of the many Holiday dresses I worked
on for this season!! Make sure to stop by your
Local Target and get your own!!

New York in Pics..

I bought these cowboy beauties for only $20.00 in China Town!

We had the most beautiful weather...
Can you feel the warm sun
mixed with the fall breese?
Honestly could not have asked for
better weather.

We found this Bagel Shop in Mid Town East...
Ess-A-Bagel which is apparently the BEST!
I agree so Good.
You can order your own...

We also went to the Brooklyn Bridge..
Ruthann had a good time
exploring the city and the food!
I did too and I think next time I am in
NYC I would like to take the Ferry to
Statten Island...

Need to organize.....

So I have 2 spare bedrooms now that I live in Chanhassen. Rick and I have designated one room for his space and one mine.. Currently they are both a HUGE mess! I would love to get my room more organized so it can be a useful creative spot. I found this images on design sponge - another favorite blog. I find it extremly inspiring for "my creative space".

My Husband

This is by far my favorite picture of Rick! I Love him!
( as stated before all our wedding photos were captured by the truely talented Michael Blaha)

Wedding Part 2: The Men

Rick spent his morning at Chatterbox a local family restaurant where they have board games and old school Nintendo. I think he looked exceptionally sharp in his black tux. His brother Rob was best man and my brother Joe and brother in law Aaron stood up as well. Our favorite was my nephew who has such a BIG character. Rick and him wore the same shoes for fun! We decided to have a bit of fun with the boutonnieres and made them out of guitar picks – Rick plays guitar, we choose a Concert venue for our reception, and we had a live band so it definitely fit the theme! Check out his lightning bolt socks that matched our color scheme!

If only...

If I could pick one way to spend my Tuesday night I would spend it sipping wine on this hillside in Italy with my favorite people. What would we eat for dinner? I would want Red wine in my glass for sure. The weather would be a perfect 65 degrees cool enough for a cardigan but warm enough to not need a jacket.

(picture found on one of my favorite blogs.. not sure who took it)

Wedding Part 1: Just the Girls!

The morning went so fast and I had so much racing through my mind! Michael Blaha our photographer definitly did an AMAZING job capturing the moments of the morning. Adrianne Gammie a friend from work made my silk Faille dress. My dear friend Anna Poston created my Sparkle adorned belt and showed me how to make my own veil The bridesmaid dresses are from J.Crew. I just Loved the color! I made the flower girl dress for my niece. It was such a fun morning walking through down town Minneapolis dressed to impress my future husband.

Snow in Early Fall

I took this picture at Deardorff Orchards on Saturday 10-10-09. I couldn't believe how early we got snow this year. I wish I had captured an image of the snow storm we had on Monday. It is going to be an interesting winter.

Dream Kitchen

Some day when we sell our town home and I own a house I hope to have a kitchen like this! I don't think of myself as a true coutry girl but I love the vibe in this space. So Welcoming and with great contrast from the wood beams to the large marble tiile and the pops of great colors!!
(I would like to give credit for this photo but I simply ca not remember which blog I found it on! It is a great photo!)
